See the event details page for your event on the MOVE website for specific event pricing and what is included in that price (nights, meals, programming).

Three price tiers apply based on when a group or individual spot is registered:

May 2 through 21 days before the event (+$35/person over Early).

fewer than 21 days before the event (+$25/person over Regular).

Pricing is per-registrant and set by the tier in effect when the spot is registered—including additions to an existing group. All payment deadlines are based on when payment arrives at the CIY office or is processed online.

Full payment for all registered participants is due 21 days before the event.

Groups or additions registering fewer than 21 days before the event must pay in full at the time of registration.

Groups are financially responsible for the full cost of every spot not cancelled by the 21-day deadline, whether or not full payment has been made. Outstanding balances—including any applicable late fees—will be invoiced to the church.

CIY may refuse admittance if a balance (including late fees) is not paid in full at least five days before the event.

CIY transacts only with the registering church, not with individual participants. The church is responsible for managing payments and refunds within its group.

(Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) — processing fees apply.

— use coupon code "PAYBYCHECK" at online checkout to hold spots for seven calendar days while the check is in transit. If no check is received after seven days, spots will be released (the group leader will be contacted first). Make checks payable to: CIY Attn: Registration, PO Box B, Joplin, MO 64802.

Pricing & Payment

Required at registration to secure spots. Non-refundable (also will not be applied pending balance, cannot be transferred to another event, group or year) under any circumstances, including CIY-initiated event cancellation.

Due March 1 for all events. Groups may reduce their registered count by up to 25% no less than 60 days before the event and have Deposit 2 for those cancelled spots applied to their pending group balance. Deposit 2 is not otherwise refundable or applicable to the group balance, except in the case of a CIY-initiated event cancellation.

A $10/person late fee is applied if Deposit 2 is not received by March 1. Spots are cancelled with no deposit refund if Deposit 2 is not paid by March 15.

Groups must submit both deposits ($160/person combined) to secure space.

A 5% fee is applied to any balance remaining after the 21-day payment deadline. This does not apply to Late Price registrations (fewer than 21 days out), which must be paid in full at registration.

Deposits & Late Fees

The financial consequences of a cancellation depend on when it occurs:

The group is responsible only for Deposit 1 on cancelled spots. No further obligation.

After March 1, but at least 60 days before the event:

Groups may reduce their registered count by up to 25% and have Deposit 2 for those cancelled spots applied to their pending group balance. Deposit 1 for all cancelled spots, and Deposit 2 for any cancellations beyond 25% of the group total, are forfeited.

After March 1, fewer than 60 days prior to the event, but at least 21 days before the event:

The group forfeits $160/person (both deposits) for each cancelled spot—no refund, no transfer, no application to the group balance.

No refund and no transfer for any cancelled space. The full balance for all registered spots remains due, including applicable late fees.

All cancellations and group-size reductions must be submitted to CIY in the Group Registration Portal in CampDoc. CIY does not adjust the registered group total based on the number of attendee names provided, deposits received, or registrants on the final balance.

Additions are welcome as space allows. Additions are made in the Group Registration Portal in CampDoc. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additions are priced at the tier in effect when the addition is made, and the required deposit(s) must be submitted at that time.

Additions & Cancellations

When a MOVE event reaches capacity, a waiting list is available through the online registration system. A deposit of $80/person is required to hold a place on the waitlist; this deposit is refunded if the group does not get into the event.

If spots open, they are offered to waitlisted groups in the order they joined the list and must respond within 48 hours to accept; otherwise the spots move to the next group.

A group registered for one event may simultaneously join the waitlist for another. Deposits for both must be paid upfront; once the group's event is determined, deposits paid for the event they won't attend are applied as Deposit 2 for the event they will attend (or to the balance if Deposit 2 is already paid).

Groups holding space on two waitlists—or space in one event and the waitlist for another—must choose which event to proceed with by May 1, 2027.

Pricing for waitlist additions is based on the tier in effect when the group joined the waitlist. Groups moved from a waitlist must complete payment within 48 hours (the only situation where the postmark date determines timing for fee assessment).

Full Events & Waitlists

In the rare instance that CIY must cancel a MOVE event (due to weather, pandemic, or any other cause):

Deposit 1 remains non-refundable. CIY will attempt to place the group at another MOVE event in 2027; if no alternative is available, Deposit 1 is retained. All other amounts paid (Deposit 2, partial or full balance) will be refunded.

Groups transferring from a cancelled event are placed ahead of waitlisted groups at the event they transfer to.

No refunds are issued for groups that choose not to attend an event that proceeds as scheduled.

CIY will communicate promptly with registered groups about any schedule changes. Group leaders and church leadership are responsible for their own judgment about travel and attendance safety.

CIY will not cancel an event once in progress unless required to do so by a government agency or venue closure.

Event Cancellation

Refunds are processed after the event at CIY offices; refunds are not issued at the event.

CIY may review each group's registration after the event. If the group was charged incorrectly, the account will be adjusted and an updated invoice or refund statement will be sent—typically within 30 days of the event's conclusion.

Other Terms

These Church Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all churches and groups registering for a 2027 Christ In Youth ("CIY") MOVE event. These Terms should be read in conjunction with the 2027 MOVE Registration & Payment Policy, which governs deposits, payments, cancellations, and related financial matters. By registering for a MOVE event, the church and its adult leaders agree to comply with all terms and conditions set forth herein.

Church Terms & Conditions

All groups attending MOVE must meet the following minimum adult supervision requirements:

Minimum ratio: Groups are required to bring a minimum of one adult for every 10 students attending MOVE.

Age requirement: Every group must have at least one adult who is at least 21 years of age attending the event.

Same-sex requirement: Groups bringing both male and female students must have at least one male adult and one female adult attending the event.

Groups that are unable to send at least one adult who is at least 21 years old should contact MOVE as soon as possible to discuss options.

Adult Supervision Requirements

CIY requires that ALL adult leaders attending a MOVE event complete each of the following prior to arrival:

Pass the specified National Criminal & Sex Offender background check within the last 12 months.

Complete an approved abuse awareness training module within the last 24 months.

Read and agree to CIY's Child Protection Policy.

Acknowledge their responsibility as a mandated reporter.

Attest to whether they have ever been accused of or convicted of a felony or any crime against a minor.

Costs associated with background checks and/or abuse awareness training are the responsibility of the church or the individual adult leader. Visit

Some states or campuses/camps may require paperwork, background checks, and/or training beyond what MOVE normally requires. Any additional requirements for the chosen event will be communicated to the group leader but will be at the church's expense (if any). Adults or students who fail to complete all required steps will not be allowed to attend the event.

It is the group leader’s responsibility to:

Ensure that everyone attending with his or her group has completed all stated requirements for release forms, background checks, training, and any other event-specific requirements prior to arrival.

Be able to, upon request, produce documentation of any required screening for any of the adults attending with their group within 24 hours.

Sign via the Count Form sent 24 hours ahead of the event stating that all adults have completed all screening requirements.

Adult Screening Requirements

A validly completed CIY Release Form is required for every person attending MOVE, including adults.

A parent or guardian must sign on behalf of every attendee who is a minor.

Release forms must be completed electronically through CampDoc.

Visit ciy.com/forms for full instructions.

Release Form Requirements

The group's church and the adult leaders attending the event bear primary responsibility for the supervision, health, well-being, safety, and behavior of the students in their group throughout the duration of the event. Specifically, adult leaders are expected to:

Provide active supervision of their students throughout the event during waking hours.

Enforce, at a minimum, all Event rules provided by CIY.

Address any behavioral issues that arise during the event in a timely and appropriate manner.

Provide overnight supervision and ensure that students remain in their assigned rooms after in-room time each night until at least 6:00 a.m. the following morning.

Report behavioral issues to CIY as soon as practicable.

If the CIY Director, CIY Co-Director, or Event Coordinator becomes aware of a student safety or behavioral concern, they will discuss the situation with the adult leaders for the group, provide guidance if requested, and assist in addressing the concern as needed.

Church Responsibilities: Supervision & Behavior

CIY staff and event personnel do not assume primary responsibility for students attending a MOVE event. The role of CIY staff with respect to student safety and behavior is supplementary to—and not a substitute for—the supervisory obligations of the group's church and its adult leaders.

The CIY Director, or his or her designee, may decide to send a student home from the event if he or she determines, in his or her sole discretion, that sending the student home is necessary to protect the safety and/or well-being of event participants. The CIY Director's or designee's decision to send a student home is final.

CIY Authority & Staff Role

The group's church is responsible for any damage to the host site, CIY property, or property of other MOVE event participants caused by any participant—including both students and adults—from the group's church, whether such damage is intentional or accidental. The group's church agrees to promptly reimburse CIY or the host site, as applicable, for the full cost of repair or replacement of any damaged property – this includes any keys not returned at checkout.

In the event of any damage, CIY will notify the group's church in writing of the nature and extent of the damage and the amount claimed. The group's church will have an opportunity to review and respond to any such claim before payment is required.

Property Damage

Housing arrangements vary by event and location. The following policies apply to all MOVE events:

Groups are responsible for providing the names of all attendees 21 days prior to the event, or within 48 hours after registering for groups or individuals who register fewer than 21 days before the event.

35 days prior to the event, CIY will send an attendee breakdown form. This form must be completed and returned no later than 21 days prior to the event. If not completed and returned 21 days prior to the event, the Church will be charged $1/person/day for each day it is late.

The group leader is responsible for notifying MOVE of any changes to the number of male or female attendees at least 21 days prior to the event.

The total number of males and females registered with each group shall be considered final as of 21 days prior to the event, or at the time of registration for those registering fewer than 21 days before the event.

Less than 21 days prior to the event, changes to attendee type (adult / student) or sex must be approved by housing and may not be able to be accommodated based on available housing space.

Groups are not permitted to assign one adult and one student to a room together unless the assignment is for a parent and child.

CIY advises groups to house adult leaders in rooms together.

A group may be required to share a room with participants from another church when the number of beds needed does not fill each room. If an adult room must be shared, it will be shared with an adult (or adults) from another church; if a student room must be shared, it will be shared with a student (or students) from another church.

Children Attending with a Parent or Guardian

Children 6 years old and older who are attending the event with a parent or guardian must be housed with a parent or guardian of the same biological sex.

Children 5 years old and under may be housed with a parent or guardian of either biological sex.

Some campuses do not allow any minor who is not the correct age and registered for the event to stay on campus, regardless of age. This will be noted on the Event Details Page of events to which it applies.

For events that include overnight accommodations, Christ In Youth houses attendees based on their biological sex as indicated on the individual's birth certificate. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 417-781-2273 or serve@ciy.com.

Some MOVE events offer off-campus housing as an option once on-campus housing is full for that event. In this instance, the cost of on-campus housing will be removed from the event price, and the group will be responsible for securing and paying for its own off-campus housing arrangements.

Housing Policies

This policy governs deposits, payments, and cancellations for all 2027 Christ In Youth ("CIY") MOVE events. Groups should review it before registering. For 2027, Deposit 1 and Deposit 2 are each $80/person. Credit card and EFT payments incur processing fees.

Adult supervision, screening, housing, insurance, and other church responsibility requirements are governed by the separate 2027 MOVE Church Terms & Conditions, which must also be reviewed before registering.

EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) – Christ In Youth accepts EFT payments. Processing fees apply.

PO Box B
Joplin, MO 64802
*SuperStart cannot accept multiple personal checks from parents for registration deposits or final payments. Checks must come from the church/organization or one personal check per payment.

Full payment for all registered spots is due 14 days prior to the event.

Groups are responsible for the full cost of all space not canceled by 14 days prior to the start of the event they will attend regardless of whether the full amount has been paid yet or not. Balances due, including late fees, will be invoiced to the church.

CIY reserves the right to refuse admittance to the SuperStart event if the balance is not paid in full (including any applicable late fees) by the time the group arrives at the event.

CIY will not accept payment from or provide refunds directly to participants. All transactions will be between CIY and the church that registered the group. The church will be responsible for determining how to handle payments and/or refunds within its group.

A non-refundable deposit of $25/person must be paid to register for space at a SuperStart event. Deposits can be paid via credit card, EFT, or check (see Pricing and Payments above).

If choosing to mail a check, space will be held for 7 days from the registration date. If deposits are not received within 7 days, the space held will be canceled.

The deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. Deposits will not be applied to the pending group balance, transferred to another group or CIY event regardless of when an individual spot or entire group cancels and/or the reason for cancellation. This includes situations in which an event is canceled for any reason.

Groups with a balance remaining after the 14-day deadline will be charged a $5/person late fee. This late fee does not apply to additions made fewer than 14 days before the event, which must be paid in full at the time of registration.

Deposits & Deadlines

If a specific student cannot attend, groups may fill that spot with another student or adult from the church. Reduction of the total count or complete cancellation will result in the forfeiture of the deposit for each spot canceled.

Registration counts are considered final as of 14 days prior to the event and full payment is due at that time. No refunds will be given for reduced registration totals or group cancellations less than 14 days before the event. Groups that have not paid in full, and then reduce space or cancel will be responsible for paying the full balance for all space reserved as of 14 days before the event.

All cancellations and group-size reductions must be submitted to CIY in the Group Registration Portal in CampDoc.

CIY will not adjust the registered group total based on the number of final payments received, or the number of registrants included in the final balance.

Additions are welcome as space allows. Additions are made in the Group Registration Portal in CampDoc. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additions are priced at the tier in effect when the form is submitted, and the required deposit(s) must be submitted at that time.

Additions require submitting the deposit(s) (or full payment, if registered less than 14 days before the event) for each additional person the group intends to bring to the event.

Groups may exchange Adult & Student Registrations at any time. When doing so, the following will apply:

When exchanging student spots for adult spots less than 14 days prior to the start of the event, no refund shall be given for the difference in cost between the student registration price and adult registration price – and any balance that has not been paid will remain due.

When exchanging adult spots for student spots, the current rate (at the time of the exchange) for student registrations will be charged.

Exchanges of Adult & Student Registrations

When a SuperStart event reaches capacity, a waiting list will be made available via the online registration system.

If space opens at the event, groups having held space on the waiting list first will have the first opportunity to fill open spots at the event.

If a person or group is contacted and offered available spots, they must respond within 48 hours of the call or email to accept, or the spots will be offered to the next group on the waitlist.

Persons wishing to register for a full SuperStart event should complete the registration process and will be put on the waiting list.

A deposit of $25/person is required to hold space on the waiting list. If the group or person on the waiting list does not get into an event, the deposit(s) will be refunded.

If a group registers for one SuperStart event and places their group on the waiting list for another SuperStart event at the same time, the group must pay the deposit(s) for both events. When the event the group will attend is determined, the deposit(s) paid for the other event will be applied to the balance for the event the group will attend.

Pricing for persons being added to an event from the waiting list will be based on when they were added to the waiting list relative to the start date of the event according to the terms herein.

In the rare instance that a SuperStart event must be canceled (due to weather, pandemic, or any other cause), the following will apply:

The Deposit (of $25/person) remains non-refundable. In that situation, the first option will be to attempt to accommodate the church at another event of the same program (SuperStart) in 2027. If an alternate option is not available, the Deposit will be retained by CIY, and additional amounts (balance payments above deposit amount) will be refunded.

Groups transferring from a canceled event to a different event will be placed ahead of groups on the wait list for an event (of the same program and year) they transfer to (if that event is currently full).

If an event that a group is registered for is canceled and an alternate SuperStart event is not an option, CIY will retain the Deposit ($25/person).•No refunds (of deposits or balances) will be issued for groups that choose not to attend an event that is held on the scheduled dates in the scheduled location.

Christ In Youth will make every effort to hold all events as scheduled and will communicate with registered groups if there are any changes to the schedule. Group leaders along with church leadership are responsible for making appropriate determinations about the safety of traveling to and attending the event.

Christ in Youth is not responsible for any expenses the church may incur outside of registration costs paid to Christ In Youth.

Unless required by government agencies or venue closure, CIY will not cancel an event once in progress.

Any refunds due will be processed after the event at the offices of CIY. Refunds will not be paid at the event.

CIY may review each group’s registration following the event. If it is found that the group was charged too much or too little, the account will be updated and an adjusted invoice/refund statement will be sent—typically within 30 days of the event’s conclusion.

Groups are required to bring a minimum of 1 adult for every 5 students attending SuperStart. In addition, groups must have at least 1 male and 1 female adult if they are bringing both male and female students to the event. Every group must have at least 1 adult who is at least 21 years old. Any “Jr. Leader” (age 16-17) attending with a group must be at least 16 years old and does not count toward satisfying either the 1 male and 1 female leader requirement OR requirement of 1 adult for every 5 students.

The group’s church and the adult leaders that attend the event are responsible for the health, well-being, safety, and behavior of the students in their group that attend the event. Adult leaders are expected to enforce, at a minimum, the Event rules provided by CIY and address any behavioral issues that arise during the event in a timely and appropriate manner.

If the CIY Director or Event Coordinator becomes aware of a student safety or behavioral concern, they will discuss the situation with the adult leaders for the group, offer advisement on handling the situation if requested, and help addressing the concern as needed.

The CIY Director, or his or her designee, may decide to send a student home from the event if he or she determines, in his or her sole discretion, that the student must be sent home to protect the safety and/or well- being of the event participants. The CIY Director’s or designee’s decision to send a student home is final.

The group’s church is responsible for any damage to the host site, CIY property, or property of other SuperStart event participants caused by any participant, including both students and adults, from the group’s church, whether such damage is intentional or accidental. The group’s church agrees to promptly reimburse CIY or the host site, as applicable, for the full cost of repair or replacement of any such damaged property.

In the event of any damage, CIY will notify the group’s church in writing of the nature and extent of the damage and the amount claimed. The group’s church will have an opportunity to review and respond to such claims before payment is required.
