College Ministry Partners
Each year at Christ In Youth conferences, thousands of high school students make life-changing decisions—some accept Christ for the first time, others renew their faith, and many feel a call to live out their faith in impactful ways. These students are looking for opportunities to grow, lead, and serve, and we believe your college can help them fulfill that potential. Whether they are called to ministry, education, business, or any other field, we want to connect them with opportunities that your school has to offer them. By sending representatives to CIY events, your students can help influence the academic future decisions of thousands of pre-college students across the nation.
CIY has been amplifying the call of Christ and challenging students to become Kingdom Workers since 1968. In addition to our events, resources, and international trips, CIY conferences attract more than 77,000 students each year, serving over one million students in the past 50 years. These future Christian leaders are also excellent leads for your school, and CIY's College Ministry Partnership program can help make the connection.
If you’re a Christian college or university and have interest in representing your school at our events, please let us know! Send us an email: collegepartners@ciy.com.
How It Works
Just by sending reps, you’ll get:
- Display space at each attended event to connect with attendees and give away approved materials, resources, and scholarships.
- If you attend at least 5 events, you'll receive a list of students who made vocational ministry decisions at summer’s CIY MOVE events. While that number varies from year to year, 5100 students made this decision in 2025. Additionally, you’ll receive a stage B highlight where one of your representatives can talk with the Emcee a little bit about your school.
College Reps who attend MOVE, here is what you need to know about it:
- MOVE is a week-long program for high school students. Our MOVE events range in size from 500 to 2,500 people. Most begin on Sunday or Monday, with a few that begin on other days.
- Each week of MOVE will be limited to 10-15 college representative spots, filled on a first-come/first-serve basis. (If all the slots are full that means 4-6 schools are already represented). You can sign up for your events once you’ve registered your school to be a College Partner of Christ in Youth.
So, how much is it?
- We offer a variety of different packages that include things like data lists, advertising, participation in an elective designed to highlight our college partners.
- Each package has various offers and pricing. Or you can create your own package by choosing the number of events you want to attend and the specific involvement, advertising or data that is most important to your school.
Just want to check us out?
That’s great! You can choose to send reps to up to 5 events for FREE.
We know that you want to be an effective youth pastor all year long. But there's limited time to plan a high school camp that creates a lasting impact. This can leave you feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, and tired. You were called to youth ministry, not event planning. Join over 900 youth ministers who bring their 42,000 students to MOVE every year so you can spend more time doing what you're called to do.
If we purchase the data list, when can we expect to receive it?
You will receive it by the first week of September, but typically a little sooner.
What does our booth space look like?
You will receive a standard 8ft x 4ft conference table to use at your booth. You do not have to use the table, but that is the amount of space you will have to work with.
Where will our booth be located?
Each campus is different, but we always try to put our College Ministry Partners in the path of the most student traffic. We want you to meet and greet as many students as possible! Usually that location is close to our on-site store… sometimes it’s in the cafeteria. Our on-site team will have a plan for that particular location and let you know when you arrive.
Can we sell our own merchandise?
No, we do not allow any outside sales at our events.
Can we give away free stuff?
Of course! There are only a few restrictions. We ask that you do not give out gum or lollipops as they tend to be found all over the floor of our auditoriums. We also ask that if you are going to give out mass quantities of an item, please check with us first. For example, if you want to give everyone a water bottle, but we are also selling water bottles at our on-site store, we can’t permit you to do that. The important detail to note is that you’re welcome to give items away at your booth, but we can not allow you to stand at the doors to main session or the cafeteria and give items away to people as they walk in.
Does CIY take care of housing and meals for representatives while they are at each week of MOVE?
Yes! They will be housed on campus and they will be able to eat in the cafeteria just like all the attendees. The only meal that is not covered is lunch on Extended Rec Day… usually that’s Day 4.
Is housing covered in between events?
In some cases. When an event is at a location for multiple weeks in a row (i.e. Tennessee 6, 7, 8) and your representatives are attending consecutive weeks at that location, they are welcome to remain in their lodging through the weekends. For all other weeks or if your reps are coming into a location that has already been at that location for a week, please contact us. Each campus is different about when they allow us to start staying there and each tour has different arrival times. We will be able to let you know what “between event days” we will be able to house your reps. If we are unable to house them, you would be responsible for taking care of their lodging.
Are meals covered in between events?
No, CIY does not provide meals in between events. Meals are only covered from Day 1 lunch to Day 5 dinner (excluding Extended Rec day lunch) by CIY.
Is bedding provided for our reps?
No, bedding is not provided. Please plan on bringing your own bedding.
Will married representatives be able to house together?
It depends on the campus and the way that housing is set up. While we would certainly try to accommodate them, we can't make any guarantees that they will be able to stay together.
How many reps should we send?
Most schools send a combination of males and females, typically bringing teams of 2 or 4 each week.
What kinds of things will our representatives be helping CIY with?
A very wide variety! Selling merchandise, welcoming youth ministers and students when they arrive, putting together registration bags, refereeing tournaments, playing a character on stage, running cameras, counting the offering, helping with merchandise inventory, checking wristbands at the beginning of session, and other small tasks. All of which provide great opportunities for your reps to connect with the students in attendance.
If our school representatives are helping CIY run the event, how will they have time to be at their booth?
While your representatives do spend a good amount of time helping us run the event, we are very conscious of the real reason they are there – to promote their school! At the beginning of the week, all the reps will sign up for tasks throughout the week. It's good to remind your reps that as they're signing up for tasks to make sure that if a task takes place during a high-traffic time (i.e. when doors open for the session), at least one representative is not helping CIY, but staying at their booth. We encourage your reps to make sure there is always someone at their booth!
Do our reps have to be college students or could they be college staff?
Your reps can be anyone attending or employed by your school. Most schools send college students, but there are several schools that send admissions counselors as well. If you send college staff, make sure they know that they will be expected to help run the events just like all the other reps.
Do we have to run background checks on our representatives?
Yes, and there are some locations where fingerprinting is required as well. You will be notified about the background check requirements after you register.
When do my reps have to arrive at each event?
For every event, there is a College Rep Meeting at 5 p.m. the day before the event starts. At this meeting, they will receive information on their housing, meet the staff for the week, meet other college representatives, learn about and sign up for different tasks, be given a quick overview of the week, and get their booth set up. This meeting is mandatory for all college representatives to be in attendance.
When is information due for the reps we’ve chosen to attend the events?
All information about representatives is due by May 2. There is a form you will receive and fill out for each individual representing your school.
Being on-site with high school students immediately gives your school some additional promotion. Your reps can and should wear school shirts during the week. They should also take advantage of unscripted moments to get to know students… sharing meals with students in the cafeteria, playing corn hole or 9 square etc.
What is Stage B?
Stage B is something that our Emcee hosts prior to the evening session, usually it’s right outside of the main auditorium, but it is on camera and shown on the large LED wall in the auditorium. Any school that sends representatives to an event will get a few minutes with our Emcee for the week to answer a few questions about their school and encourage students to come say hey. If you’re sending a team of four, this likely won’t have space for all of your reps, but maybe one or two of your reps can speak on behalf of your school.
What is the College Partner Panel Elective?
Our College Partner Panel Elective is a new idea we’re trying to help our schools get a more intentional opportunity to speak to students. Each school that purchases a package that includes this elective, will need to select one representative to speak on behalf of their school. We will have a CIY staff member play the host to the panel and ask questions about each school represented. We will send out these questions in May, so you can be sure your reps are prepared.
What is the Spiritual Formation Society?
The Spiritual Formation Society is a morning prayer time that students can elect to attend. We have found that this group tends to grow throughout the week. There is a small handout that will guide the time, but we do need an adult to help lead it. It is a good opportunity for college partners to meet some students and maybe get to actually know them a bit throughout the week. There isn’t anything else on the schedule during this time, so it won’t compete for time. If multiple colleges have selected this package, then they would just divide the four mornings that it will take place.
What is Next Level?
Next Level is an elective designed for juniors and seniors specifically. Typically the morning speaker of the week leads this elective, but usually the students who attend are looking for the next part of what’s discussed in the morning session. The schools who purchase this package will be introduced and are allowed to leave a card/chair drop at Next Level once during the week. The chair drop can be a post card or flyer of some kind, it can not be a large scale giveaway item. If you have any questions about what that chair drop should look like, don’t hesitate to ask.
If our school representatives are helping CIY run the event, how will they have time to be at their booth?
While your representatives do spend a good amount of time helping us run the event, we are very conscious of the real reason they are there – to promote their school! Prior to coming, we’ll have you rank your interest in a few areas your on-site team can help. It's good to remind your reps that as they're assigned tasks to make sure that if a task takes place during a high-traffic time (i.e. when doors open for the session), at least one representative is not helping CIY, but staying at their booth. We encourage your reps to make sure there is always someone at their booth! However, it is unlikely that all of your team would be able to be at the booth at the same time.
Do our reps have to be college students or could they be college staff?
Your reps can be anyone attending or employed by your school. Most schools send current college students, but there are several schools that send admissions counselors as well. If you send college staff, make sure they know that they will be expected to help run the events just like all the other reps.
Do we have to run background checks on our representatives?
Yes, and there are some locations where fingerprinting is required as well. You will be notified about the background check requirements after you register. When you submit the names of your teams (due May 1st), we can let you know when they’ve completed the necessary requirements.
When do my reps have to arrive at each event?
For every event, there is a College Rep Meeting introduce our college reps to the on-site team. Usually that meeting is at 5 p.m. the day before the event starts.
All information about representatives is due by May 1. There is a form you will receive and fill out for each individual representing your school.
When is the payment due for our package?
50% of total costs are due on or before May 1st. The remaining balance of total costs is due on or before July 31 of that year.
Payments can be made online via credit card or by mailing a check to (all checks must be made payable to Christ In Youth, Memo: College Partnerships):

I’m trying to register for an event, but it says “sold out.” Why can’t I get in?
Unfortunately, there is a limit to the number of reps that we can have at each event. That number varies, as each campus is different. If you have any questions, please email us or call us at (417) 781-2273 or reach out to us at collegepartners@ciy.com.
