If we purchase the data list, when can we expect to receive it?
The Vocational Ministry Decisions list is usually available in early September. The Full Data list will be available sometime between the end of September and the end of October. The fluctuation is due to the amount of data entry necessary to complete the list.
If you purchased either of these lists, it will be emailed to the email address found on your 2022 College Ministry Partnership registration. If you’d like the data sent to a different person or email address, please let us know.
Can we sell stuff?
No, we do not allow any outside sales at our events.
Can we give out free stuff?
Of course! There are only a few restrictions. We ask that you do not give out gum or suckers as they tend to be found all over the floor of our auditoriums. We also ask that if you are going to give out mass quantities of an item, please check with us first. For example, if you want to give everyone a water bottle, but we are also selling water bottles at our merchandise station, we can’t permit you to do that.
What does our booth space look like?
You will receive a standard 8ft x 4ft conference table to use at your booth. You do not have to use the table, but that is the amount of space you will have to work with.
Where will our booth be located?
Each campus is different, but we always try to put our College Ministry Partners in the path of the most student traffic. We want you to meet and greet as many students as possible!
Is housing covered in between events?
In some cases. When an event is at a location for multiple weeks in a row (i.e. Tennessee 6, 7, 8) and your representatives are attending consecutive weeks at that location, they are welcome to remain in their lodging through the weekends. For all other weeks or if your reps are coming into a location that has already been at that location for a week, please contact us. Each campus is different about when they allow us to start staying there and each tour has different arrival times. We will be able to let you know what “between event days” we will be able to house your reps. If we are unable to house them, you will be responsible for taking care of their lodging.
Are meals covered in between events?
No, CIY does not provide meals required in between events. Meals are only covered from Day 1 lunch to Day 5 dinner (excluding Day 4 lunch) by CIY.
If our school representatives are helping CIY run the event, how will they have time to be at their booth?
While your representatives do spend a good amount of time helping us run the event, we are very conscious of the real reason they are there – to promote their school! At the beginning of the week, all the reps will sign up for tasks throughout the week. It's good to remind your reps that as they're signing up for tasks to make sure that if a task takes place during a high-traffic time (i.e.: when doors open for the session), at least one representative is not helping CIY, but staying at their booth. We encourage your reps to make sure there is always someone at their booth!
What kinds of things will our representatives be helping CIY with?
A very wide variety! Selling merchandise, making seating charts, welcoming youth ministers and students when they arrive, putting together registration bags, refereeing tournaments, playing a character on stage, running cameras, running lyrics, counting the offering, doing merchandise inventory, security, and other small tasks. All of which provide great opportunities for your reps to connect with the students in attendance.
When is payment due for our package?
50% of total costs are due on or before May 1, 2022.
The remaining balance of total costs is due on or before July 31, 2022.
Payments can be made online via credit card or by mailing a check to Christ In Youth, PO Box B, Joplin, MO 64802. All checks must be made payable to Christ In Youth, Memo: College Partnerships.
I’m trying to register for an event, but it says “Sold Out.” Why can’t I get in?
Unfortunately, there is a limit to the number of reps that we can have at each event. That number varies, as each campus is different. If you have any questions, please email us or call us at (417) 781-2273.
Is bedding provided for our reps?
Reps attending MOVE events at Ozark Christian College, Lee University, University of Texas Arlington, and John Brown University will need to provide their own bedding as these locations do not provide it for them. Reps attending MOVE or MIX events at Cedarville University will need to provide their own pillows. All other locations have bedding available, but reps are welcome to bring their own if they prefer.
Will married representatives be able to house together?
It depends on the campus and the way that housing is set up. While we would certainly try to accommodate, we can't make any guarantees that they will be able to stay together.
Do our reps have to be college students or could they be college staff?
Your reps can be anyone attending or employed by your school. Most schools send college students, but there are several schools that send admissions counselors as well. If you send college staff, make sure they know that they will be expected to help run the events just like all the other reps.
Do we have to run background checks on our representatives?
Yes. And there are some locations where fingerprinting is required as well. You will be notified about the background check requirements after you register.
When do my reps have to arrive at each event?
For every event, there is a College Rep Meeting at 5 p.m. the day before the event starts. At this meeting, they will receive information on their housing, meet the staff for the week, meet other college representatives, learn about and sign up for different tasks, be given a quick overview of the week, and get their booth set up. This meeting is mandatory and all college representatives are required to be in attendance.
When is information due for the reps we've chosen to attend the events?
All information about representatives is due by May 2. There is a form you will receive and fill out for each individual representing your school.
Does CIY take care of housing and feeding my representative while they are at each week of MOVE?
Yes! They will be housed on the campus we are on and they will be able to eat in the cafeteria just like all the attendees. The only meal that is not covered is lunch on Day 4.
