Engage is excited to partner with Richie Shilliday and his team at RIOT (Revival In Our Town) in Northern Ireland. RIOT exists to be an extension of the love of Jesus by creating a safe, encouraging space for local youth—many of whom don’t have any real connection to a church. At their Youth Center, kids and teens can drop in for evenings filled with games, worship, and community. Your students will join RIOT by helping facilitate those hangout times and building relationships with kids and teens who desperately need to see and experience the hope of Christ. Along the way, your group will learn the value of relational ministry and practice sharing their own stories of how God has worked—and is still working—in their lives. These stories will be shared with the youth at RIOT as a way to point them toward Jesus in a personal and authentic way.

Beyond the Youth Center, your group will get to immerse themselves in the history and spiritual roots of Ireland. Together you’ll take a prayer walk through Tollymore Forest (the same woods that inspired C.S. Lewis to imagine Narnia) and retrace the steps of St. Patrick while learning how the Gospel first reached the island. Through prayer, storytelling, and service, your team will be part of what God is doing in a country rich with tradition but where only a small percentage of people are actively following Jesus. This trip is an invitation for your students to grow in faith while encouraging a movement of the Spirit in Northern Ireland.
