How do I register?

MOVE registration is available online. Go to the MOVE Ireland event page on the website and you can register from that page as long as there is space available. When registering, you can either pay the deposits by using a credit card or you have the option of posting a cheque. If you choose to post a cheque, it must be received within 7 days of when you registered online. If there is no space available for the event you would like to attend, you will be put on the waiting list.

As with deposits, funds paid for space canceled less than 7 days prior to the event are non-refundable, non-transferable (to another group or future event), and will not be applied to the pending group balance. If a member of a group cannot attend MOVE, the group is welcome to fill that spot with another person attending with their group.

We require one adult for every 10 youths as part of an agreement with the venue. We also believe the small group experience is better facilitated with a ratio of no greater than 10 to one.

What promotional material do you provide?

CIY provides leaders with several different options for MOVE promotional material including posters, bulletin inserts, a promotional calendar, and a promotional guide. This can be found on the website.

What if extreme weather is forecast to impact MOVE?

In the rare instance that extreme weather is forecast to impact an event, the following will apply:

- No refunds will be issued for groups that do not attend the MOVE event.

- Christ In Youth Europe will make every effort to hold the event as scheduled and will communicate with registered groups if there are changes to the schedule. Group leaders along with church leadership are responsible for making appropriate determinations about the safety of traveling to an event location.

- Unless required by government agencies or venue closure, Christ In Youth Europe will not terminate an event once it begins. If an event must be terminated because of government action or venue closure, CIY will not refund registration fees for the event.

- If prior to beginning, an event is canceled or rescheduled, registered groups will receive a full refund of their registration fees. CIY is not responsible for any expenses the church may incur outside of registration costs paid to CIY.

Does CIY MOVE provide first aid at the event?

Christ In Youth will provide basic first aid attention for minor scrapes and bruises with at least 3 leaders trained in basic first aid administration. CIY does not provide first aid supplies or on-site medical professionals at events. Leaders will be provided with the location of the nearest medical facility for their event location. In the event of an emergency, CIY staff will assist the adult leaders from the group with communication in seeking medical attention. However, it is the responsibility of the adult in charge of the group to ensure that the affected individual(s) receive appropriate care, are accompanied while away from the event, and appropriate payment arrangements are made. Leaders from the group should have access to medical release forms for everyone on the trip at all times.
